Full-Time Dispensing Optician
About us
Blackheath Eyecare is a well-established independent practice in Blackheath Royal Standard, just a stone’s throw away from Greenwich Park and Blackheath Village. We are proudly known for doing things a little differently and we are certainly not ‘just another Optician’, in fact, we actively try to stand out from the crowd!
We believe that clients shouldn’t have to choose between high-quality eye care and well-made spectacles, which is why it’s our mission to provide outstanding eye care, niche eyewear, and make the process of choosing glasses enjoyable.
Our Dispensing Opticians and Services
We appreciate and actively promote that a Dispensing Optician’s role is not a ‘sales assistant’ or a ‘store supervisor’ but is a highly respected Optical Consultancy position within our industry. Dispensing Opticians are registered professionals that require ongoing training and support as with any other governed medical profession. This is why our dispensing and eyewear consultation clinics are treated with the same respect as our examination clinics. Our Dispensing clinics provide the time control needed to ensure a ‘no rush’ environment that really allows for personalised advice and explanations of what’s best for each client.
Our small team of Dispensing Opticians and Advanced Optical Assistants work very closely with our Optometrists to deliver a range of eye care services including our most popular Myopia Management options. We work together to continuously develop our skills and services; which means our future team members will also have the opportunity to grow with the practice.
We are well known and trusted in the community for clinical expertise and independent niche eyewear and we look forward to introducing our next recruit who is also ready to uphold these values.
